Festival Introduction

Glastonbury Festival

Founded in the 1970’s and now its 45th years of history, the Glastonbury Festival, in short Glasto, is the largest greenfield music and performing arts festival in the world. Aside from a wide array of international musical groups and genres that perform at the festival, there are also a great variety of dance, comedy, theatre, and circus acts, attracting hundreds of thousands of festival goes each year. The ticket of the 2015 Glastonbury were sold out 135,000 within 25 minutes of going on sale, even when the acts were yet to be announced at that time. Each year Glastonbury is held, the festival contributes over one hundred million pounds to the British economy, yet the majority of staff within the festivals are volunteers, retaining the ethos of the hippie culture upon which the festival was found.

This year, we are bringing three artists including Miss Ko, Peggy Hsu, and Suming to the stage of Glastonbury, to represent Taiwan’s original music for the fans all over the world.
